Job Description:
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus MBA would be added advantage (Materials, logistics, operations or a related field may be required).
Experience: Min 10 to 20 years of experience in purchase activies for steel processing plant / purchasing from steel oem’s, stockist, distributors.
Work location: Shirwal plant in Pune

Job description:
• Preferred candidate with relevant experience of procurement of Steel
• Thorough Product Knowledge - Steel Market - any product ( Flat & Long Products) Plates, Sheets, GI PPGI , TMT, Tubes Wires , Rounds Tie up with OEM's( All Integrated Steel Plant)
Candidate should have experience of steel purchasing (sheet metal, pipes, rods etc).
• Candidate should be from manufacturing background (Sheet Metal). · Purchase from OEM, Stockist, Distributor and Dealer
• Should be open to travel when needed
• Candidate should have experience of purchase management system.
• Candidate should have exposure to product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors · Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent Communication Skills , negotiation skills should be Responsiveness·
• Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
• Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
• Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
• Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
• Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals.
• Should be skilled in planning, scheduling, procurement of equipment & material. Maintaining smooth supply chain for delivery to customer.
• Should have expertise for Co-ordination with supplier.
• Should have good Technical Knowledge about to Machineries, Tools and other Items for Manufacturing Industries.
• Should be capable to monitor and management all the required system setup by organization.
• Should be capable to handle departmental activities, training to bottom level team members for improvement in system.

• Proficiency in the relevant management software’s.
• Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Great organizational and planning skills.
• The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
• The ability to follow client specifications.
• Excellent networking and time management skills.
• Should be effective communicator with good presentation skills.
• Should have good knowledge in ISO/IMS procedure and SAP/ERP system.
