Purchase Engineer at Vasai East in Mumbai

Job Description:

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. Mechanical or Production
Experience: 2 to 5 yrs in Purchase, Procurement and vendor development activities from Switches manufacturing / Automotive Industries
Gender: Male / Female
Work location: Vasai East in Mumbai

Job Responsibilities:
Float RFQs based on BOM and engineering drawings.
Collect techno-commercial quotations from vendors.
Prepare comparative statements (cost, lead time, MOQ, payment terms).
Follow up with vendors for timely quotation submission.
Raise Indent for the requirement in system.
Ensure Timely availability of raw material, BOPs, Trial Components.
Generate and Place POs for prototype and pilot batch materials.
Track delivery schedules aligned with project timelines.
Coordinate with Quality for sample approval and inspection.
Maintain vendor data records.
Assist in preparing cost sheets.

Skills and Key Requirements:
Understanding of BOM-based sourcing
Knowledge of cost comparison and negotiation basics
Understanding of MOQ, lead time, and payment terms
Basic understanding of APQP, PPAP, Vendor approval process and Drawing interpretation.
