Job Description:

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience operating Wire Cut EDM machines.

Job Summary:
The Wire Cut EDM Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Wire Cut EDM machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules. The role requires maintaining dimensional accuracy, ensuring machine efficiency, and adhering to company safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate Wire Cut EDM machines for machining precision components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and machining specifications.
Perform machine setting, job alignment, and parameter adjustments as per production requirements.
Monitor machining operations to achieve the required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Callipers, Micrometres, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
Identify and report machine malfunctions or process deviations to the supervisor.
Maintain production records, machine logs, and inspection reports.
Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, fixtures, and machined components.
Coordinate with the Tool Room, Quality, and Production departments to achieve production targets.
Follow ISO quality standards, 5S, and all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the work area.
Optimize the machining process to reduce consumable usage and power consumption while maintaining quality.

Required Skills:
Knowledge of Mitsubishi Wire Cut EDM machine operation.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of machining tolerances and GD&T.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
